Have you been dreaming of adopting a potcake (or other rescued shelter animal), but aren’t sure how or where to start? Or maybe you are hesitant because you know how important this decision is, and you don’t want to make the wrong one?

Our network of volunteers would LOVE to connect with you.

From helping with transportation or lodging while you make contact with your new furry friend, to veterinarian care, shots and surgeries, to paperwork and logistics of taking your new family member home with you, we can help.

We have properties in Spanish Wells (Bahamas), Pensacola (Florida), Louisville, (Kentucky) and a farm and campsite in an undisclosed location in Central Ohio. Spend a week (give or take) making sure your new friend is a good fit for your needs, in an environment that allows them to be themselves and make lasting connections.

We also network with professional trainers who can get your new friend ready to travel on airplanes, work as a service dog, farm dog or protection, depending on breeds and testing.

We have a la carte or all-inclusive packages, depending on your budget and goals. Send an email to moderator@potcakeisland.com for more information.

NOTE: As of 2025, puppies must be 6 months old to travel from the Bahamas to the United States.
